WHEN YOUR HEART isn’t in it

You deliver, people rely on you, and still something is missing. A few honest questions can tell you whether it’s the work, the place, or something underneath.

Many capable people reach a point where they still do good work, but their heart isn’t fully in it. From the outside nothing looks wrong. From the inside, it feels like running on reserve.

Is it the work or the place?

Sometimes the work itself is right, and the place, the team, or the pace is not. Sometimes the place is fine, and the work no longer fits who you’ve become. The two feel alike, but they call for different moves.

How much of your time goes to what you love?

Try a rough count. Out of a normal week, how much of your work time is spent on things you’d gladly do again? If it’s a third or less, the low energy has a clear source.

Are your strengths in use?

Work that uses your biggest strengths tends to give energy back. Work that doesn’t use them tends to drain it, even when you’re good at it.

What to do with the answers

You don’t need to quit to change something. Often the first step is to see the pattern clearly, then move a few hours a week toward what fits. The Calling Clarity Report shows these patterns from your own answers, and the first thing to clear.
